One of the main differences between our ranking of the 30 top wire and cable producers in 2015 and 2014 is the value in US dollars of the total market and of each producer. Total market value in 2015 fell 7.2% y/y to $156.4 billion for the entire global wire and cable market and declined 2.6% to $65 billion for the top 30 wire and cable producers. The main reason for the fall in value is due to the decline in copper and aluminium prices over 2015.
