Latest figures show that 2016 turned out to be a relatively good year for the region as a whole in terms of insulated cable production. It has been an up and down few years for the region. After a return to growth in 2014 and then back to decline in insulated metallic cable production in 2015, it has returned to growth again, up by 0.9% in 2016. This is also reflected in the copper wire rod use, up by 0.4% year on year.
